Elected Best European Destination by the Best European Destinations Agency in 2014, the city of Porto, situated in Northwest Portugal, is visited by tourists from all over the world every year. I have been going back to Porto for a few summers now, and the beauty of the monuments, the companionship of the people and the neverending nightlife are some of the things I cannot get tired of.
Porto is definitely one of the trendiest european cities atm, mostly because it can meet everyone's preferences. Historical monuments, breathtaking views, magnificent museums and bookshops (the Lello bookshop is a must), Porto wine caves, the best fashion boutiques all over the city, and the beautiful beaches of Vila Nova de Gaia a few steps away... the choice is up to you. Also, if you're an european football fan, you cannot miss FC Porto's stadium and one of the biggests in the continent: the Estádio do Dragão.
